3. We mail these families information about PCCA.

4. You continue to promote PCCA as you talk with the

5. Once they register and pay their tuition, $400 will be

taken off your 2011-2012 tuition balance for each successful referral (maximum 2 referrals per family).

What Do We Wear to the Program? FAQ's
How should my child come dressed to the program?
Dress in navy pants or skirt and a white polo or other shirt (no T-shirts, please.) Also, black shoes.
Can my child wear their uniform navy pants, shoes and polo?
YES!
Can my child buy something else to wear?
YES! As long as the bottoms are navy, shoes are black, and the tops are white. (Again, no T-shirts)
Before I spend any money, is there anything I should know?
YES! No cutoffs, no shorts, no T-shirts, and skirts must be knee-length. No low-cut or tight-fitting shirts. Please dress modestly.
My child has a drama/solo part. What does he/she wear?
If your child has a solo or drama part, you already know what your child is to wear. (If you don't, then contact me ASAP!)
My child is in preschool. What about us?
Preschool students are to dress in their Sunday Best. This means slacks, button-down or collared shirts, dresses, etc. No jeans, no cut-offs, and clothes must be modest.
Can Grandma & Grandpa come?
Of course! Invite Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, your neighbors, that lady at Starbucks you talk to all the time but don't know her name...everyone and their dog! Ok, not the dog.
What time should we arrive?
The students need to be there NO LATER than 6:45pm, but if you want a good seat, you'll want to come early! Doors open at 6:15pm. We've been known to pack the house so I wouldn't arrive too late.

*Most of you know that one of our students, Brady Beck, has Juvenile (Type I) Diabetes. Below you will find a letter with information about the Walk for a Cure that Brady will be participating in. You will also see a video about what Juvenile (Type I) Diabetes is and how it affects Brady and his family. You may also add the Brady's Bunch Facebook page to your own Facebook account by clicking the Facebook link below to stay updated on the walk.

Hello, again!

Below you will find the current Update and a pizza lunch slip. Our new families may not know what this is so here is an explanation:

On some Fridays, our PTF brings in a hot lunch of some sort-pizza, Burger King, McDonalds, etc. Parents can choose whether or not to purchase this hot lunch for their child. If they choose to purchase the hot lunch, they simply fill out the form (form is also sent home with your child the Friday before) and return it with the money for the hot lunch with their child by the Wednesday before the hot lunch.

For example, a hot lunch form was sent home today, August 27. You return the form and money no later than noon on Wednesday, September 1. The hot lunch will be served on Friday, September 3.

If you have any questions about the hot lunches, please email me anytime or you can call the office during school hours (8-4pm M-F).

A few notes: This blog is updated weekly on Fridays. Please make a habit out of checking this site weekly so you can stay updated on what's going on at school.

You probably noticed that the teacher pages are now a tab on the homepage. (I was giddy with excitement when I saw that Google added this feature! Seriously.) No more searching the sidebar! If you bookmarked the teacher pages last year, delete that bookmark! You no longer need it and it will not be up-to-date.

Here is a flyer for the Dennis Uniform sale, Emergency Kit Supply List (for those who did not buy the prepackaged emergency supply kit 3 years ago), a calendar of the 2010-11 school year, and supply lists for each grade. Please bring the supplies on the first day of school.

You'll want to have it handy when you are ready to go school shopping. Of course, you could carry it with you now and pick up a few items as they go on sale.

Alternate Printing Options

This one has a few more steps involved but I have found it to be the best quality.

1. Click on the document you wish to print.
2. Once it loads, right-click on the image/document.
3. Choose "save image as." The image/document will be saved onto your computer.
4. Choose the desired location to save your image/document.
5. Find where you saved it and open it. The image/document should open using whatever photo editing software you have installed on your computer. (For example: Photoshop or Microsoft Office Picture Manager.)
5. Find the command button to print and follow the prompts your software gives you.

What To Wear?

There are two different Field Trip Permission Slips, one for grades K-5 and the other for 6-8th Grade. Please be sure to print out the correct form for your child. They are different, ever so slightly different, so take a few extra seconds to make sure you are signing the correct form.

Clothes Swap!
Need some new clothes or want to find something for your children? (Perhaps your child needs something to wear at the Christmas Program?) Come on Friday, November 6 at 5:30pm to the chapel with clothes to swap!

This is NOT an Open House styled event. We need your clothes at 5:30pm to sort so we can begin swapping at 6pm.

ALL are welcome to join us. All we ask is that you bring only clothing in wearable condition (no rips, tears, or visible stains). No undergarments, please. Remember to wear clothes and shoes that are conducive to trying on new outfits and bring a few shopping bags to haul away treasures.

All remaining items will be donated to HOPE Services. This event is about community and plain fun!

A Note From Pastor Ken:
Greetings. As we start a new year I wanted to let you know that part of my ministry to our church, school and preschool is to be available during times of need or crisis. Hopefully, we will not experience those times very often, but when we do, it is helpful to have spiritual support. I do not wish to come between your relationship with any other spiritual leader in your life – pastor, priest, minister etc. I would like to come alongside of you when you feel the need. It may be someone in the hospital, a loss in the family or an individual or couple in need of a listening ear. I want to be there for you. Please feel free to call me (831-455-6722 – cell# or 831-449-0140, ext. 11 – work#.) Problems do not usually occur during regular office hours, so feel free to call when you feel the need.

We will be hosting a “school-year” dedication service on Sunday, August 30 at 10:30 AM. We will have a brief service that will include a brief word from a teacher on why they are glad they teach at PCCA or LLPS, a parent who is pleased with the choice and at least one graduate who will tell what they received from the experience. We will also recognize our teachers (some are active members of other churches) students and their families. The service will not last more than an hour and we think children of all ages will enjoy the experience. A nursery will be provided for the youngest children who have not begun preschool.
